Hi folks. I have a situation where we need to have a digital receptionist for Friday evenings until midday Saturday, then switch to a different digital receptionist. As the business is closed all weekend, it is all out of hours. I can't see a way to do this. So this is how we'd like it to work - Friday 5pm - Saturday 12 noon, Digital Receptionist #1 is the after hours DID destination. Saturday 12 noon - Monday 8:30am, Digital Receptionist #2 is the after hours DID destination.
Any clues how to have this configured?

Use a dummy extension and configure forwarding rules based on Available and DND. Then use Autoswitch with the times you need. In-hours will be the first IVR, out-hours will be the second.

Thank you guys. Will set it up for the coming weekend. Next step is to allow a user to edit an IVR without giving access to everything. The recordings to play (surgeon on call details) can change from weekend to weekend, and one of the team managers should be able to select the appropriate recordings for the IVRs as they leave on a Friday. Only way I can see to do this is to give full access to the management console. Selecting 'Can Control IVR' in Extension Rights and Group Rights doesn't appear to do anything. Have added user as group manager, but no different.

The 'Can Control IVR' option in the Extension Rights basically allows that user to be able to pick up calls that are currently connected to a Digital Receptionist, it does not allow the user to edit the DR settings.

What you want unfortunately is not possible out of the box, to grant a user rights to ONLY edit the Digital Receptionist prompt without touching anything else.

If you want to go down this road, the best solution in my opinion would be to forget the 'dummy extension' suggestion and build a project using the 3CX Call Flow Designer.
This essentially allows you to create custom IVRs/Digital Receptionists that can then be uploaded to your 3CX.

The CFD Project you create could have the Time-based logic you want, plus the ability to allow an internal extension to just be able to dial into the Call Flow and re-record the WAV file.

Thanks folks for the input. Have resolved to go about it differently. Set up dummy extension with 24/7 office hours. Set exceptions for the two time periods and have multiple IVR's available (one for each surgeon) to select from. That way the users who need to make the changes can just edit the destination IVR in the dummy extension setup before they leave the office on Friday afternoons. Created a separate group for the dummy extension and managers to belong to, and gave them rights to edit the extension. Inbound rules for DIDs all point to the dummy extension after hours. Problem solved!
