Time based routing of calls

Not sure this is possible since I don't see any options. Hopefully, some of you will have a creative way around this.

Basically, I've got a situation where the there is short staffing on Tue & Thurs. I have to manually go into my ring groups and change the order of extensions in the hunt group. It would be really great if on Mon,Wed,Fri I could send all calls to ring group A and on Tue, Thur send all calls to ring group B

Any ideas?

You could send all calls through a CFD application that looks at the day of week and then forwards the calls to the appropriate ring group.

Perhaps the CFD (Call Flow Designer) could do this based on time of day/day of week.
I have not used it for anything, but it seems like a good candidate for the job.

I just created my first time based one. Easy Peasy.

Installed on the 3cx server.
Create a Project.
Add a TimeDateCondition
Right click and add an extra branch where needed
On each grey square, only change DateTimeConditions. Do not change DID's.
(This is the after hours one)



Then drag onto each grey square a "Transfer" and enter the extension of the Group - or your night greeting.



Compile it.
Then login to Console.
Create a Queue.
Scroll down to Voice and select the project.

Only do this when Queues aren't being used as it will reset the Queue Service.

Point the DID or DR to use this new Queue instead of the old ring group.
