I saw my colleague pressing the DND button on a phone from an other colleague.
I thought to turn the DND off from my admin panel, but there I see:

Am I missing something or is this a but?
Our version: 3CX Phone System 12 – SP 6
Phones: Cisco IP Phone SPA 504G

Thanks!

You are right DND of ciscos is distinct from DND on 3CX Phone System.
So beware of this button as you can have one or another activated without the other end knowing.

Wouldn't it be more logic if both systems could talk to each other?

It would but this is a restriction of ciscos phones, snoms don't have this issue.

The DND button on Yealink and some Granstream can be programmed to dial *30/*32 (or the DND Codes). This in turns changes the 3cx status as well. The issue I run into is folks setting DND/Status on the phone and then come back and unset it from 3cx Phone for Windows. This leaves the phone in DND. I wish 3cx could talk back to the phone and unset the DND.

One of several tweaks to the provisioning template for Cisco units for me is to disable many of these supplementary services on these handsets. CFWD is another.. I have wasted too much time in the past farting around with what ended up being "user error" and was better to just remove those services and PSK entries.
