I found out the same after the automatic updates to U4.
1. Before, Google Speech API could be used without Google Storage, which was fine
2. Somewhere in v18, the link between Google Speech and Google Storage was created, either by 3CX or by Google, I don't know where this hard requirement came from, but it was there
3. In v20 PRO, the option to transcribe voicemails using OpenAI was added, which was great since it no longer required Google Storage (which we don't really use otherwise and costs money as well)
4. In U4, transcribing voicemails using OpenAI was removed again, forcing us back to (2).
I would really appreciate if transcribing voicemails using OpenAI was added back to Pro.
Or, alternatively, the requirement to store everything in Google Storage shoukd be removed again, going back to option 1.
3CX could just upload the voicemails to Google Storage temporarily if that is really required to use the Speech API and just allow the archive, chats, recordings, backups and everything to be on FTP(S).
It would be really great if this could be changed (back) to either 1 or 3
