Hello

Using a deskphone, mobile iOS app, and Windows app.

If I'm for instance discussing on the deskphone but I have to leave the office, is there a (simple) way to continue the call on my mobile app?
Is there no dial code to do that?

Read somewhere that the way to do it, is an ugly transfer the call to your own extension.
But for this we need to have "accept multiple calls" option checked, which our users hates, and also it seems to consume 2 simulteanous calls sometimes reaching the limit of the license so it hangs up... Too bad that a call between me and me is considered as an extra call...

How do you pick up a parked call with the iOS app?

From the link I posted...

Get Out

To unpark a call which is parked in a room, create a new call from your SIP device to *1[0-9] (eg *10).

It is important to know that each and every extension in 3CX can unpark calls which have been parked by someone else. If the CEO parks an important business partner into a room, this call can be resumed by every other user of the system.

In the case that in a single room multiple calls have been parked, the call that was parked first will be retrieved first while using the matching dial code of the room (*10 for room 0). In case you need to selectively unpark a person from a room with multiple calls in it, you must use the 3CX client for Windows or Mac or the Web Client to do so.

What I've done, is create a dummy extension that is forwarded to "SP0", a shared parking space. When i want to park a call, I do a transfer to that extension. When i want to retrieve, I pick up the phone and dial the extension number, I now have the call. You could create one for each, of a number of parking spaces...300=SP0, 301=SP1, etc. if desired. Makes it a bit easier in remembering how to park and unpark.

Blind transfer the call to yourself and pick it up on your mobile.

To add to this, do bear in mind that, if you want to use Shared Parking as opposed to Parking Orbit, you can provision a Shared Parking BLF key on your deskphone and then park the call directly to it by simply pressing it. Then, from the mobile app, all you need to do is manually dial SPX where X is the Share Parking number (e.g SP1) and it will give you an option that says "Call SPX" which you can press to pickup the call.

Note: On the mobile app make sure to type SP in capitals.

Thanks @ChrisC_3CX

Park could be a solution

Did you try blind transferring to yourself?

Yes @kieferschild
But as said in the post, I don't like it since it consumes 2 simulteanous calls from the license
Also if I don't pick up fast enough it goes on voicemail
What I need is something I can trigger from the mobile
I don't know if call parking consumes 2 calls

It doesnt require "accept multiple calls" to be enabled.

The blind transfer would be that quick, i'm not even sure it would register as 2sc - have you tested this?

Blind transfer doesn't take 2 calls???? Attended does.

Shared parks don't either.

As for the voicemail timeout, you should have at least 10-15 sec depending on what you set in your extension's forwarding rules.

I do have to mention that, if you do decide to use the blind transfer method I would actually recommend enabling "Accept multiple calls" just in case. It theoretically should not be needed, but we are talking about a scenario that's very time sensitive.

If I remember well, it's not working without "Allow multiple calls"

I just tested it now in a very simple PBX config and it works, but, there are many factors that may come into play and that is why I recommend having it on in this case.
