Hi team,

Just passing by to make some basic questions, that actually I couldn't find a way to perform it on 3CX.

1) How can I return a transferred external call back to the original extension that performed the transfer? Is this possible, and if so, what is the procedure?

2) Is it possible to transfer a call directly to someone's voicemail, maybe using a BLF?

3) Can an IVR option be used to call to an external number? I also didn't see that feature.

4) As a system owner, where can I see all calls made using the PBX (from all extensions), if I go to calls and filter by Outgoing, actually I can only see my calls.

Thanks for all your support in advance.

Sincerely,
Anthony

1. No, it is not possible to retrieve a forwarded call, especially to an external location.

2. Yes it is possible to trigger this. Create a custom speed dial and enter the number is the following format *4EXT . *4 is the dial code to trigger someones voicemail.

3. No, directly from the Digital receptionist this wont be possible. However, you could send this to an extension, and use its forwarding rules to send the call out to the external number. We call those dummy extensions, because they arent assigned to a person but are just used for routing purposes.

4. That page you are looking at is just for your personal call log. You would have to go into the admin console and see the call log under reports.

Awesome Nicholas!,

I really appreciate your quick and accurate reply. One last question about dummy extensions. Should I register those dummy extensions? Because forwarding rules depend on their statuses, Available (green), Away (orange), DND (red), Custom 1 (light green), Custom 2(pink).

If I create a dummy ext. just for forwarding with no any email associated, it will remain not registered (grey), the forwarding will still work? if so, which status forward rule should I edit?

Thanks in advance.

Anthony.

If it is unregistered, there is a specific forwarding rule in the Available state that would process those calls
