Hello,

I have a client for whom we’ve enabled the live chat feature on their website for customer service. They would like to have the ability to easily transfer the chat conversation via email, or at the very least have an option to export the chat transcript, so they can forward the information to the appropriate department or person.

I was able to find some information about transcripts within the internal 3cx chat system, but not much related to the website live chat.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello JAlain,

I think that I have done some like this in the past:
CTRL A - select all chat text
CTRL C - Copy the text
Open new email
CTRL V - Paste chat details
Send the email, once set some extra details to the email.

However that does not send the connection details like name/number of the chat contact.
Would that be your point?

Paulo

That could work as a temporary workaround, but having something more automated would be much better for the client’s workflow. At the moment, my client is relying on screenshots, which is not efficient.

Hi,

(The conversation shown in the screenshots below is fake from an internal test).

Generate a Chat Log from the Reports section and click on the chat bubble:

Then Export the chat to a CSV (if images are shared they are excluded.):
