Hello,

How do I get a number to route to a digital receptionist?

When I go into trunk settings or Inbound Rules setting, it gives me an option to route a number to an extension but not to a receptionist.

Thanks

Hi,

In this case it is the same.
Use the number of the Receptionist.

Thanks but not quite sure what you mean??

Use the number of the Receptionist.

If you mean to put in the extension of the digital receptionist, it does not show up in the list. I see the extensions and ring groups/calls groups but not the receptionist.

Yes, put in the extension of the digital receptionist.
e.g. if the DR has number "234", then select this number as extension number.

This is what it shows. No receptionist extension.

What is the number of the DR?
Should be something like my screenshot.

This is a 3 digit extension setup. the receptionist is 802

Which version of 3CX do you work with?

So if IVR is 802 then set extension 802 to be used in your trunk.
if not visible did you validate ok in IVR creation ?
Did you refresh page in console ?

Yes the IVR was created and is there and can be reached from another internal extension.

Was this a fresh install or did the issue occur suddenly?
Try restart the server and test again.

Not a fresh install but running a very simple setup for about a month on here.

Can’t restart now, will try around lunch.

BTW: Are all services running?

Yes. All looks perfect on that end

Do you have your 802 IVR extension available in system extensions menu from dashboard?

Are you using Chrome Browser? do you have a lift bar on right side of window to scroll down to 802?

Hello @correlative !

What happen if you create a few more IVR ? 800 and 801 extension are RG or Q ?

Hi @correlative

If you created a DR extension then the drop down list should include it when you choose the destination to Route calls under the Trunk

by the way, you can just go to SIP Trunks > Select Trunk > Route calls to > use the drop down menu directly from here. You do not necessarily have to create an inbound rule if you select it from here.

I see you already have a couple of extensions in the 8xx range so you should be fine.

Please ensure that the new "802" DR you created, is not a "WAKE UP" type otherwise it will not appear in the drop down list
