Hi All,

If you were setting up a new customer that needed a trusted certificate to use webrtc, would you just simply buy a new domain, set an a record to point at the public IP of the PBX and then link the cert to the domain name?

IIS will not be used in this case.

If you are setting a new PBX installation then yes, you must get a new domain specific for the PBX and set an A record in the DNS to point to the PBX installation. IF your client needs a trusted certificate to use WebRtc then you get one and import it when the 3CX installer asks you to.

Please note that WebRtc works with a 3CX self signed certificate that can be generated during the installation process.
