Hello. I am trying to add a second line on my Polycom VVX 601 to 3CX. However, every time I add it, it says it is unregistered. Will someone PLEASE assist me?

Second line appearance or second extension? The first is supported and should be done on the BLF tab of the extension. The second is not.

Thank you for your reply. However, I'm not clear on your question. I have multiple DIDs and Extensions. I am trying to get one additional to appear on my phone. When I add it in the web interface, it does not show up on the phone as an active line. However, when I go into the phone settings, the second line appears there as an unregistered line. And I have mirrored the settings from Line 1 over to Line 2. Can’t get it to register though.

Sorry I edited my first post. So line appearance would be another button on the phone with the same extension. Second extension would be something like extension 100 on line/button 1 and 101 on line/button 2.

Was the phone provisioned per this guide?

Yes, I did. For clarity, my issue is adding a second extension tot he phone. I have programmed DIDs and extensions and have them working on other VoIP phones and softphones, and can only get one extension on the Polycom.

Is it correct that you are doing this manually in the phone? Are you using an SBC?
Also ensure the firmware version is up to date as I found Polycom devices usually work much better on recent firmware. Aside from that, what are you trying to achieve? That the user can dial out with a different caller ID?

Hello. I am trying to do it from the Polycom’s web client for the phone. I’m not using an SBC. The firmware is the latest. Yes, I’d like the user to be able to dial our from and receive calls to a different DID? It’s a 16-line phone and I’m trying to use two.

Hello, @Glennonline + @cobaltit. Any perspective here? I still have only one line provisioning to the Polycom VVX601. Please help. Anyone’s input would also be welcomed.

Is the set local to the 3CX Server?

If you are provisioning manually, I assume you have prevented the set from re-provisioning automatically and removing the changes you have made.

Did you give the second line appearance a different local port than the first line, like 5061?

Does the 3CX Activity log show the second line attempting to register?
