Looking for a bit of help here....

We have several numbers through our main SIP provider, Skyetel. They do not support toll free SMS, so those numbers are also being hosted via Twilio for SMS. I am running into troubles on how to properly get the SMS portion working from Twilio.

As an example, if my trunk setup in 3CX I have a Skyetel and a Twilio trunk. It allows me to add the same DID to both trunks however as soon as we do that, we get a message when calling the number stating "temporary technical difficulties". As soon as we remove the DID from the Twilio trunk in 3CX then the voice calls work fine. Still haven't been able to get the SMS portion working.

Are you getting any authorization error from Skyetel?

Then you need to contact Skyetel to clarify further.

Skyetel holds the DID but doesn't do SMS on toll free numbers, therefore we are using SMS hosting via Twilio.

If I add the same DID number in 3CX in both the Skyetel trunk and Twilio trunk, it seems to break the call flow for voice calls. SMS works when I add the DID to the Twilio trunk. I am not sure what to do next.

Attached is also information from Skyetel showing 3CX blocking the call.

Our network is successfully routing to IP 147.182.152.252, but 3CX is rejecting Inbound calls with the following response:
403 Forbidden
User-Agent: 3CXPhoneSystem 20.0.0.1340 (1340)
Warning: 499 odyssey.my3cx.ca "Caller is not identified"

I am guessing this has to do something with Call source identification and the way the Skyetel trunk is set up but we will need to take a closer look at the system to determine what that is.
I would recommend creating a ticket with our support department so we can take a closer look at this.

This has been fixed. We had to delete the trunk in 3CX and re-create it.
