Hi,

Are you guys planning on supporting Twilio as an SIP Trunk Provider?
They offer payment processing IVR which I would like to add to our call flow.

Please let me know if that's in the plans for the near future.

Thank you and great job on 3CX, I like it A LOT!

Hello @DavidM84,

Twilio is available as a SIP trunk in 3CX Hosted instances. When you add a SIP trunk, select "Worldwide" as country.

Have in mind that as prefered option remains the registration based SIP trunk. Twilio is an IP based, thus it is not recommended.
For more information please see our blog https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/ip-based-trunks-hosted/

Thank so much!

Are the registration based SIP trunk more expensinve than the IP-based? My budget is pretty tight and I found Plivo or Twilio pretty good price-wise. But I would love to see what the other ones offer as well.

Pricing is usually similar as it is more related to authentication than call flow.

By the way, for a payment processing IVR, you can use CallFlow Designer for that.

I'm a newbie, but from what I understand Call Flow Designer doesn't work on 3CX hosted solutions, is that correct?

Indeed that is correct

@DavidM84 in just 5% of 3CX installs you will meet a requirement where the CFD is needed. If you start out with 3CX you will notice that all core and expected default flows can be configured without the extended need of the CFD.

Set it up in hosted by 3CX, give it a run and in the case you do need it, you can always take a backup, stop your hosting and restore it in your own hosting provider within minutes...

I think that sounds great!
