One of our teams has two different workstations in our building.
Under our old system, they were registered as different extension numbers, but shared a mailbox. The voicemail button was configured so that both phones could access the shared mailbox by simply pressing the 'voicemail' button (without having to specify an extension. This would allow the two members of that department to quickly page/call one another if they needed to.
It seems that under 3CX I have two options.
1) Configure two separate extensions, route all missed calls to one voicemail box, and train the employees to access the other extensions voicemail when they need to check it from the other phone.
2) Provision both phones under the same extension, by which they could simply press the 'voicemail' button for the single mailbox from both handsets, but would lose the ability to page/call one another from the separate rooms.
Is there something I'm missing? Could I have my cake and eat it too in this scenario?
