Hi All,

I am unable to get 3cx to start on Windows 10 Pro. It has been running absolutely fine for a good couple of years but now when I go to Services and try and start a service, I get multiple failure messages stating the system started and then stopped; this happens for most of the services which I try and start. The Media and Nginx servers are running.

I am wondering whether the RPC dependency has anything to do with it but when I look at those, they are showing as running.

What does the windows event viewer show when the services fail to start?

The 3CX PhoneSystem 01 Configuration Server service depends on the 3CX PhoneSystem Database Server service which failed to start because of the following error:
The operation completed successfully.

However, when I go to try and start the database server, there is no error written to event viewer.

Have you got any AV software on this PC? If Yes, try uninstalling it completely, reboot the machine and try starting the services again.

Let me know what happens.

Morning,

I think there is only Windows Defender on there.

I have followed your instruction and the problem remains.

I did get an email saying there was an update due and there was also power supply issues yesterday so I am wondering whether the update may have caused a problem.

The time you're spending waiting and getting it sorted, I would just reinstall and restore from a backup.

If you do have a recent backup what @kieferschild would probably be the best thing to do next but do make sure that the cause of the issue is nothing like low disk space, 3rd party software interference or generally something that will likely cause the same issue even if you do re-install.

Sometimes, the best solutions are right there in front of you!!

Uninstalled, installed, backup restored and, so far, all is good.

Many thanks for the assistance.
