I have a number of what I believe are related issues.

  1. Paging activates (beeps) but no sound comes out at the receiving end.
  2. Multicast Paging does not even do that
    1. Multicast Paging from the phone (not through the system) works well.
  3. Intercom works fine
  4. Calling works fine
  5. Voicemail answers leaves message but no sound on message.
  6. Phones are unable to retrieve messages as key pad tones aren't responded to.
  7. Phones will only connect via TCP.
  • 3CX 15.5 fully updated. New install with and without custom template the same issues.
  • 3CX installed on Windows Server. Same issues occurred when installed on Debian 9.
  • Yealink T48S (32) and T27G (5) phones.
  • Network is AirMAX NBE-5AC-Gen2 with UNIFI switches.
  • /23 subnetted network
  • Windows 2016 also has DHCP and DNS.

Going on the info supplied, are the 3CX server and phones on the same local network ?

How are you provisioning the phones - using pnp so they appear in the 3CX Management console

What version of firmware are the phones using - may need an upgrade

I would do the following

1, Upgrade firmware,
2, Delete the phone setup within 3CX Management
3, Factory default the phone. After reboot the phones should appear in the 3CX console where you can assign them to an existing extension.

Hello @kalvik

Please note that the machine that hosts the 3CX PBX should be a dedicated machine so running the DHCP and DNS services on the same service is not recommended/ supported.
Install the PBX on a dedicated machine and see if you can replicate these issues.

I have shutdown the Windows based installation. I have done a clean VM installation again on Debian 9.

  1. No Paging multicast or standard.
    1. Multicast Paging from the phone (not through the system) works well.
  2. Intercom temporarily unavailable
  3. Calling internal works fine
    1. External calling generates internal server error
  4. Voicemail works
  5. Phones are able to retrieve messages
  6. Phones now connect via UDP.
  7. Most extensions show red in the management Console but are connected and able to call internally.
I was able to call externally on the Windows installation but now am unable to connect in or out due to SIP 500 error

What happens when you run the built in firewall check?

Almost all ports are clear. But the issue is the SIP 500 error on inbound and outbound traffic.

SIP connection is up.

Almost all ports are clear.
Which are the ports failing when running the firewall checker?

Please make sure that extensions are provisioned through the management console and running the supported firmware and default template.
Make sure that you have a valid outbound rule.
Is your trunk authentication based or IP based?

Are the phones provisioned as local or remote extensions? What is your networks IP range?
Install a windows client and check if you have the same issues.
