Hi all,

Struggling to get this to work for a customer, please can someone help. I tested the number, it's 00 61 xxxx xxxx xxx (15 digits long) and it works fine for me so not an issue there from our phone system.

International dialling is allowed on the SIP Trunk (Voiceflex), I have added Australia as an allowed Country in Security and changed to the below for International Calls:

Does the PBX need to be rebooted for the changes to take effect?

No it does not.

However, the format of the Australian number seems to be wrong. It should be 00 61 X XXXX XXXX (13 digits long)

The rule seems to be correct however as it matches the 13 digits, but check the number you are dialling.

Also check the VoIP Provider does actually allow Australia as a country (International Calls may not be enough)

Check the 3CX Activity log to see what is showing as an error.

Also, check that there is no other rule which may be before this one which may be sending the call incorrectly.

No you do not have to reboot the server.

No sure why you have two rules for numbers 13-15 in length, as I am guessing route 2 will create an invalid number.

Outbound rules are processed from the top , so check the order of the rules.

What does the activity log show you

Also check your E164 settings

Thanks Nicholas, didn't expect you to reply. Was it the Australia bit that caught your eye :)

Sorry it is 13 digits not 15, my error there.

I'll double check that Australia is allowed, below is the activity log:

I do chime in to the forums from time to time.

There doesnt seem to be a call to an aussie number in the snippet you sent.

Thanks Nicholas, I have found the limitation is actually with the SIP Trunk provider having done some checks internally. The previous fax line was ceased and the company has a SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) line with no phone line and they only have capability (with the SIP Trunk provider) to receive faxes which go straight to an e-mail address.
I don't know if there are options for them being able to send a fax out possibly, I was looking at the Fax options in 3CX.

To send outgoing faxes, you would need to have an FXS gateway with a fax machine connected. We only do inbound faxes internally within the PBX.

Supported gateways: https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/
