I'm currently on V16 U5 with all updates installed and the new Yealink firmware was installed today (66.85.0.5). When trying to push the firmware through 3CX to upgrade from 66.84.0.95 it does not work, just like the issue I had when I went from V15.5 to V16 which was a known problem with Yealink models such as the T46S, which is my model.

With that said, how can I finally fix this so I'm able to push firmware through the 3CX Management Console instead of manually updating the phones every time as that is time intensive to do. I thought once we got to 68.84.0.95 everything would work after that but it seems the old firmware bug is still causing issues.

Is a factory reset the only fix and will that actually fix it for good?

Hm, I just updated a SIP-T46S to 66.85.0.5 last night with no issue...

Thanks for letting me know. Did this phone have the issue when you went from V15.5 to V16 (Screenshot) or is it a newer phone?

I had to manually do updates to get to 66.84.0.95 and this is the first update after that. I didn't do a factory reset and wondering if that is the problem now.

It wasn't on 15, it's a relatively new install (Feb) and although I updated most or all of the phones at the time they were installed I can't remember if this one was updated...it's the only 46 there.

I have updated the phones on a few site - most have been updated from v15

how have you provisioned the phones - local, stun or sbc and are they managed by 3cx (have XX provisioning url)

Thanks for your response. I found the issue and that was me not following the initial directions from 3CX and making sure a factory reset was done. Once I did a factory reset, I was able to update the firmware on all phones through the 3CX console.

Just in case someone else runs into this, these are the directions I should have followed after updating from V15.5 to V16.

We updated hundreds of phones to this latest firmware and only had trouble with one site. After rebooting the SBC and then rebooting the phones from the 3CX console the upgrade worked.
