Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com

Hi Guys

I have this 3cx on windows server 2016 r2, 3cx on 16.0.4.504 (256 channel PRO) with 1700 extensions.
I had to reboot the server due to high ramp in CPU and the server become non responsive.
After the reboot I get the message not being able to reach activation.3cx.com, I do get the blank screen when going to https://activation.3cx.com/
The system does not allow my call ques and reporting and no more than 4 calls at a time.
Firewall has been checked.

please help.

Hi Johan,

Indeed you should get blank page, this is not a website.

Open a command line window on your windows server and nslookup activation.3cx.com

If you get a response starting from 151.x.x.x then your machine can resolve, otherwise you will have to inspect your network and NIC settings.

Great, let us know how it goes. I'm guessing it may be DNS settings on the OS or the local DNS server sending requests down a hole
