Hi,
I have spent most of a day on this. The basic issue is that as the title said I cannot Switch to Hosted for my customers on 3CX PRO (18.0) Self Managed (Lightsail) systems. They are on the latest v18 Update 9 version and I did the Switch to Hosted painlessly for my own Enterprise v18 NFR.

What does Hosting Maintenance is expired mean?
The expire date for these customers is still for 6 to 12 months in the future for these customers.

I have been going in circles as I needed a new instance in Lightsail to upgrade (1 CPU), but Lightsail no longer supports Debian v10/3CX v18. So I have moved 2 customers to AWS which was painful as the Guides are not entirely up to date for this situation (Use a setupConfig.xml file from Install option on https://portal.3cx.com/partner/ AND then restore a backup from external location is needed). Trying to restore from backup without the setupConfig option first seems to be intended only for an on-premise server.

So I should be able to upgrade to v20 now from the 3CX management interface. But that hasn't solved the "Hosting maintenance is expired" message trying to switch them to 3CX Hosted.

Do I need to upgrade to v20 before I can move them to 3CX Hosted? Or is it that they have to upgrade even though the expiry date is not for a long while?
WHat is the best way to do to this?

Another question, do I need to set up Static/Elastic IPs for my new 3CX AWS EC2 instances? No mention of that in the Deploy to AWS guide.

Regards,
Malcolm

Click Upgrade and check the Add Hosting box. It is billed separately.

I don't get that option (I am in Australia). I get the

Contact your 3CX Distributor to renew or upgrade this subscription.

standard notice. I do see on the same screen
Subscription expires in: 160 days
Hosting expires in: Expired

But I don't host with 3CX at the moment, so it makes little sense to me.

What does Hosting Maintenance is expired mean?
It just means you haven’t paid for 3CX hosting. As noted you should be able to add it when upgrading/renewing the license. If you are working through a distributor and don’t have access (?) can you ask them to do it?

You need to renew and also add the hosting to get the option.

Thank you. I enquired and I can order a Hosting add-on for the subscription, it is just not an option with the automatic ordering method yet. Then I should be able to use the Upgrade/Migrate option on the 3CX Portal.

Malcolm

I would suggest that you contact also with your Sales Representative to check and advice.
