I have been working on this through the summer and have had help from Manny (Nazaudy) on bridging the Avaya IPOffice, which works really well.
I am using Unifi EDU Access Points for about 3 years now as they claimed they can be used as a SIP endpoint, which they can using baresip. I have recently installed 3CX since registering the SIP speakers to the Avaya can be a costly and very long process due to licensing and compatibility issues.
I have successfully registered my Unifi EDU speakers to 3CX using the Unifi Controller and setting up the SIP options under Services. It's slow but they register. I have the Avaya bridge in place and I am able to call any extension on the 3CX from the Avaya system using 8,(3CXExt). I'm able to call my soft phone on my desktop using this (8,001). I have the Speakers in a Ring and Paging Group and I can actually dial from the Avaya system 88851 (88(paging)851(paging group)). After successfully using this I hang up the handset on the Avaya and I will try again to page the speakers, only to get a busy signal. It's like the extension is still off hook.
Has anyone else successfully set this up? I have increased Cores and Memory on both the Unifi Controller (Ubuntu 18.04LTS) and the 3CX server (Windows server 16) VMs to see if there was a shortage. However that doesn't seem to correct the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
