Unfortunately, we have the problem that only the recordings are transcribed. Voice messages are not transcribed, there is only an empty field under transcription in the email. Any suggestions for a solution?

Check your setings

In update 4, the transcription settings for what to transcribe are now under the department settings

And they can be changed per queue, Ring Group and user as well

The settings match the ones you sent. Unfortunately, it does not show a transcribed voicemail even after retesting. Attached is a picture of the email1731330020373.png

There is a limitation where calls under 7 seconds are not transcribed. Yours seem to be 6 seconds long.

Thanks, thats the solution I was looking for!

Voice mail transcription via Google is still available. Yes you need too use Google storage for it. (something Google enforced not 3CX) Its normal for a Product Feature set to change over time. In our case there have also been very few changes. The two pending things not yet "enforced" are windows is part of Enterprise and direct routing of teams requires 16 sc license. Just for future reference - we have no plans to enforce as yet.

In regards to OpenAI this was introduced as an Enterprise feature just 2 months ago - its just we did not lock it down yet. We are not focusing on locking down features, we are focusing on developing them and leaving them for people to try for a few months then you can decide whether to upgrade or forego. Any case our Enterprise Edition with free voice mail transcription is still cheaper than Pro with OpenAI paid transcription.

More importantly we encourage all partners to use their ENT NFR to try out our inbuilt transcription because we think its a game changer for our platform. Try out it and you will see its just as good as OpenAI and it will allow you to take telephony productivity to a new level.
I HAVE NO WORDS.
First you have us notify our customers of the new OpenAI feature is some we have activated on PRO licensed PBXs is then it is taken away with an update without notice?
What do I tell the customer now?

Here's an interesting question.

Now that you are building your own AI processing machines, would we be able to select a specific Country/Region to process the transcriptions?

Big enterprises and Government don't want their data to leave the country. Offering transcription processing locally in certain countries would help a lot.

The other big question we get regarding AI is training data. They want to use AI to transcribe their recordings, but they don't want their recordings used to train the AI for other customers.

This would of course might raise the cost, but the customers who would need this generally have the $$ to pay for it.

It is already like this. The transcription engine uses the same logic as the Video Conferencing platform with regards to zoning and data laws.

European content is processed in Europe, USA content in the USA and so on. A couple of non European/US regions for the moment have to have their data processed/temporarily stored in Europe due to unavailability of the necessary infrastructure to facilitate AI processing in said regions.

Customer data is NOT used for AI training purposes. At this point in time, the vast majority of Enterprise license owners are legitimately getting free transcription with 3CX and with none of the usual AI concerns.

Just been looking at the 3CX transcriptions of call recordings and on some its transcribing in Welsh... welp.

Is there one for Canada?

id go something like this...

"Dear customer, we hope you've enjoyed the transcribe feature of 3CX. Unfortunately this feature is now part of the ENT...."

What US regions?

What US regions?

US and EU have regional infrastructure and data is stored/processed locally within those regions.

thank you for the clarification...how is the region selected; is it done by where the pbx is hosted in the US?

Yes, if you're in New York, then you are likely to get processing within New York if resources are available there. If no resources are available, you'll be processed by the next closes available processor somewhere in the US.

Its a very good question - and we have thought about it. One of the pillars of our product strategy is to allow companies to control the data of their communications. This is why we recently launched the on board MCU for video conferencing. That way you dont have to share your data with the video conferencing platform owner.

With our AI we have built it in a way that it can be deployed locally and run on a "local" GPU. The one issue we face is that we don't want our technology to be ripped off by some of our competitors who will reverse engineer and copy our IP, so have to see how we will get around this first.

Is it possible to force the 3CX transcription to the correct language rather then auto detect? Our transcriptions are still sometimes being picked up as Welsh when we're speaking English >.<
