Well i like your funny reply !

But Panasonic is anything but easy to program. Despite your flying pig icon :)

Anyway, I admit i also dont understand 100% your request... Are you saying that one additional time zone, say break 2 or custom with a separate routing destination is what you want? Date and time is not going to happen ever, that i can assure you. Then keep using Panasonic and enjoy :)

I think the best way is for you to make a feature request and see how many votes it really gets. Because if i had a penny for every time a customer or reseller said "everybody wants this" i would be a very rich man indeed :)

@teldata As @CentrexJ correctly points out, you can use a separate call queue for that. The feature you mention is not coming to 3CX.

@Jack.Staples No this is not possible to have same extensions numbers. One per system. In fact in startUP extension length is much bigger than in dedicated so that it can have more extensions. Of course one group can have 1100 and the next 1200 and so on but never same.

@bit101 - it will be manageable centrally yes. Users can currently only configure their OWN time, not office hours btw.
@Nick Galea Thanks for the info, I'll keep this in mind.

I found a post of a suggestion that asks for exactly what I want.

He almost has 100 votes!

I think you are richer than you think lol :p

This idea is different and it is infact implemented by the new group mode coming in the next version. For each group you can have a separate set of holidays.

Its not the same as having separate time AND date rules. i.e. diferent actions on different times on say 20 October 2022.

But yes, looking at existing ideas, and voting commenting on existing ones is the right way to go. Also accept that a feature can never be exactly as you want it.

@Nick Galea will this require Multi-Company mode to be enabled? It would be handy for this to work without it enabled for situations where this separation is required but inter-group calls are also required.

@Jack.Staples - yes there will be no need to specifically enable it. That means that every PBX will get more powerful group features (right now its just group membership) but when we release the new version it will mean that for every group you can configure separate office hours, holidays, phonebook. Each group is also "callable" and you can do a basic IVR for inbound call routing. Any queues, ring groups etc that are part of the group will inherit the office hours and time zone of the group.

This feature is not available yet and not documented yet because its not available yet. We are not ready yet to release it, hopefully September but we can not guarantuee (just pre empting the next few comments if you dont mind :) )

@Nick Galea Great to hear! Would there ever be a possibility that with these changes we would be able to setup different MOH based on the group?

Hi Nick,
I know I'm exhausting you, I feel like we're about to wrap up and it's just missing a "yes, we agree".
I promise you to "keep quiet for a long time" as soon as the subject is "concluded".

@bravad ....
... but i do believe i am one step closer to understanding how Trudeau became president of your country :)

Jokes aside, ...

.... And no, Trudeau is not a member of my family lol

Yes having separate holidays is fine (We can already see it in the current version when we activate the Multi-Company mode), but must be possible to choose different action from "Closed office", as suggested in the idea. The idea is equivalent to having a different "HOL IVR" in each MCM group to another.
Similar ; https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/#h.lhp8x1ejzua
But instead of having a single IVR HOL for the whole 3CX system, each Multi-Company mode group should have its own separate "IVR HOL".
I am not completely against time based rules in extensions but as i said with groups you can already configure 3 time ranges
1.Open,
2.closed,
3.break.

If you think a fourth is necessary please make an idea and lets see how many votes it gets?

So, add ..
4. "Holiday" based to the set Holiday day ? ( Example ) ..

Yes, is already done .. "With it's own forwarding rules".

If you vote for "me", I promise you the..... as Trudeau would say!

We understand that it could not choose an "IVR Holiday" separately on each DID but... could be managed destination separately by Group ( Multi-Company mode )

Hi Bravad, OK :) Make it as a feature request and post the link to get votes. A separate destination for holidays per group is much more doable then the other ideas :)

I don't understand why I have to vote for an idea that is already proposed and voted more than 100 times.

This is precisely the idea that was voted on.
Just read the comments of the idea I'm referring to.

What more does it take? A flying pig? :(

thx

@Jack.Staples I commented in the idea thread.
@Nick Galea Thanks, I hadn't seen that.

I couldn't reply there so...

While the queue MOH does work well enough, sometimes callers aren't actually sitting in a queue, they're just on hold/park and there can be a conflict in situations where a child company is sharing their PBX with the parent company and both require separate MOH, at which point I imagine you'd just come back and say that the best solution would be 2 3CX instances that are bridged, but that isn't ideal as that costs more.

Anyway, I've upvoted the suggestion because that is the only way it'd possibly happen.

Regardless, keep up the good work.
