also how does it affect migrating direct SIP option 66 deployed, as we need time to migrate a client with 20+ sites (about 5-10 phones per site to SBC using router phones)

is the recommendation still to not deploy to prod?

Hello @Sparky Bear
The name of the phase aims to describe where they are with the development. She answers your question.

Stages of development : Beta
Software in the beta phase will generally have many more bugs in it than completed software and speed or performance issues, and may still cause crashes or data loss.
Beta version software is often useful for demonstrations and previews within an organization and to prospective customers.

So you install knowingly. Good practice would be to explain the risks to customers. Personally, I know several customers who agree to take the risk simply for the pleasure of being able to take advantage of new features more quickly.
In a "Partnership" logic, it would be normal for all 3CX Resellers to install this version for their own use, at least for one of the 2 NFR keys. To help 3CX developers find bugs and deliver a more reliable Official release. It is difficult for developers to reproduce ALL possible scenarios in order to identify bugs. Although they certainly use simulators to help them.. As a Partner, we need to support developers and do our part.

This is my opinion, everyone has their own opinion, I will respect it.

Up to you

@gbourgeois is right but I am very confident in this beta, it will be rtm soon... And any minor fixes posted fast

You can leave on DHCP 66 but it's risky over the internet. This is a much bigger risk than beta or not...

Hi all,

We've noticed that headset integration for Plantronics has been disappeared.
Is in your plans to return this integration to clients?

Thanks,
Jaume

Found an issue,
The web client doesn't like the music on hold being set to a playlist

I don't think it's a issue, I think 3CX hasn't implemented the "playlist" feature in "Users Groups" yet. Because I can't find the location to manage playlists from "WebClient / Users Groups".

The bug is that it is a required field so I can't edit the queues via web client at all because it won't accept the existing entry.

Same with 3cx talk friendly name, no idea what that is for, but pain in the ass that I have to enter the data due to "Required Field"
Though I would have thought that 3cx talk would just take the display name, convert to lower case, replace the spaces with underscore and use that if no name specified.

Hoo ! Yes, sorry .
My mistake, I misunderstood your reference.
I thought you were talking about the name / special characters (only) ,
I did not have understand that you wanted to refer to the impacts caused by specials characters for the reference to the playlist. :)

Note to myself ; "Guillaume, don't intervene when it doesn't concern you" , I only wanted to help. Sorry again

no don't kick yourself for that, if you are not using playlists I would recommend it, a single place to manage the hold music, plus you can change the music per caller.

it is just required fields that bug me as I now need to edit so much more
please @Nick Galea change the 3cx talk to base off of the display name by default, otherwise, the admin overhead is so high that there is no point syncing from office 365.

Also please fix the hold music for the webclient

Thanks for reporting! We are aware of this regarding the playlists and should be addressed in the next update.

For now, if you were managing certain queues from the MC (in order to assign a playlist in the first place), please continue to do so from there.

@JohnS_3CX
Is there any plan to change the 3cx talk "friendly name"?

At the moment this field is a requirement when editing queues via the webclient admin.

I don't know if this will be changing in the future, but for now assume that it will remain a requirement.

Can you please make it a prefilled section with synced Office 365 display name?
Otherwise I can not see myself or any of my team using the webclient admin portal as the overheads are too high

Sync 200+ users from office 365
Manually one by one set a 3cx talk name - ouch

the other thing I want to see is a global setting for things like ip phone transfer behaviour, we always use attend not blind (current default is blind
And screensaver/backlight settings

Not sure if raised, but setting up hotdesking doesn't allow using a Router Phone the SBC is not selectable

Update 6:
When I reconfigure our Flowroute SIP trunk in the webclient Admin it requires me to change the DIDs with a + in front. That was not the case before for Flowroute. And if I do that inbound calls from Flowroute are all rejected because the Invite from from flowroute has no + in front and all inbound rules fail.

[CM500002]: Unidentified incoming call. Review INVITE and adjust source identification:
INVITE sip:[email protected]:5060 SIP/2.0

What about if you deleted and re-create the trunk. Does it still force the +?

For what it's worth, my invites from Flowroute all come with the + in it, so maybe ask Flowroute support what's going on?

Yes, it will always force the "+" in front of the DID .
It's called E.164 international (or E.123) format and it's recommended.
If it is not configured by your carrier, if you have access carrier portal, look for format InboundCalls and you will undoubtedly find the choice E.164 international (or E.123) .

E.164 is an international standard (ITU-T Recommendation), titled The international public telecommunication numbering plan, that defines a numbering plan for the worldwide public switched telephone network (PSTN) and some other data networks.
As described by the ITU, in E.123: "+" is the "International Prefix Symbol" used in a "Telephone number, E.123 international notation".

You need to delete the trunk and recreate if you are planning to edit from the webclient. The template included in the build is updated and reads the SIP header that is sent with the + sign. Once you recreate it with the new template everything will work fine.
