Is there a way for provisioning to use http instead of https for certain phones?

Aram:

thanks for the info. What version of hte PBX does this work on (standard, pro, or enterprise)?

--Tracy
Hi Tracy,
It's available for the any PBX version.

The web softphone is an amazing update! waiting since long.
Opus is mostly use in Yealink phone T21 etc. But i can still cannot see the opus codec in yealink setting from the 3cx management console. it can only set on phone side and not on 3cx. if i set, the is a little distortion. But on softphone i can see opus is supported on both side.

Let me know when it will be available for Yealink. T2xx T4xx series

Thanks

@jed - Thank you for your nice feedback!

Re your questions about the web client - yes we are working on hot keys and many other new features for the web client. We will take your feedback onboard - we are looking to improve the web client drastically in the coming months. Many new things coming including better integration with Office 365, more views, better chat functionality and so on.

As for the ENT logo - provisioning your IP phones with your logo is really not a must have feature. Even with ENT pricing, 3CX is very competitive compared to other solutions that often charge $10-30 per user per month (e.g. CRM). We charge much less. You can easily upgrade a license for a customer for just the price difference from the partner portal at any point.

I'm not sure how it could be integrated.

But any chance the JabraDirect software can be linked to the WebClient? Our clients enjoy using the hardware buttons on the headsets to answer the SoftPhone at present.

Some of the features would be very help to fix and add,

I know they will fix it soon as i believe 3CX always innovate and develop new features.

Thanks.

Great news about webclient webRTC Softphone.

Some comments:
I am having problems to use Click To Call when I select webclient softphone. I receive "Phone is not found" but I can use it from webclient without error
Another thing that could be great is that the call start automatically when I select a number to dial. Right now, you select a phone, it opens a new google tab and then you need to press "call" again to start calling. Is it possible to start the call with one click? This improve CRM integrations and call center efficiency

@pact - yes we have both plantronics and jabra integration even on the web softphone. You have to install the jabra driver software for it though. However, sennheiser will be supported soon and the quality of sennheiser software and hardware is much better. Always try to use Sennheiser if possible.

@ecom2 - to my knowledge it should already work with yealink t2 and t4, we will revert. We will look into the other issues.

@jhonku - i believe this is only when you select a call from another web page - you have to be given the chance to check the number, plus we dont want to make your browser window move from the crm page ...... I will check the usability of this.

Remember the web softphone is actually an alpha - very much a proof of concept to give you a taste of what we are working on.... Also the webclient is receiving big updates in the coming months.

And just to be clear, its not meant to replace the windows softphone. You can keep the windows softphone running on your desktop at the same time as an IP phone or web client, no problem, and decide for each call what you will use to answer the call. What you wont be able to do long term is answer the call from the windows client on your ip phone, that doesn't make sense.

I still FAIL to see why you chose to give the logo to enterprise ONLY. I am an end user and management would be very happy to have this on our phones. Paying to have a logo on our phones (Upgrade to enterprise) is about the only real feature we would get from enterprise.

Please just enable it for PRO. I completely understand for the FREE version, but we can and do pay a license fee, and maintenance EVERY YEAR, just enable it for PRO.

Also since this upgrade we now get "Waiting for network" and eventually register failed, whereas pre-upgrade no issues. we are all android phone owners

It is not recommended. The moment you do this, you will lose all possible support you can get.
But if you are ok without support, then you can yes. Go to the phone's templates and customize them to use http provisioning instead and if the phone is local it will work.
If the phone is remote and you want it to work, then you have to modify nginx config.

Yes it can. Just go to the settings page of the Webclient, general, scroll down and select your headset, Plug the headset in and that same UI will guide you in steps what you need to do and from where to download the plugins.

There are issues with Jabra - Do not try simultaneous calls.

Opus codec has bugs. This is why we did not add it on all the phones. When Yealink team are finished with the testing of the codec, we will add the codec to the phones, and you will be informed via the change log. Feel free to add it yourself and report issues you find.

re logo - its an enterprise feature. If the PBX is not enterprise, having the 3CX Logo is okay I think.

re waiting for network - Actually we made an improvement in the way the android client connects. I am very interested in your issue. I suggest we meet and via pm, we share some details on this problem. The best way is that you create an extension for me, and I receive the configuration file to troubleshoot the connection from an android in my test bed to your pbx.

We will check the click to call part.
About the phone not found, I have seen this error on machines where other communication clients have been installed. Normally they "steal" the protocol in the registry and then associate one protocol like tel:// with the latest installed app. (try and steal it back by installing 3CX Client again.)

We will check the ui part of call - however keep in mind that we do this so we leave the customer on the crm page. If we follow your suggestion, I will be taking you away from the crm site which is not what you would want.

Try and fix some errors and come back with what remains..

One more thing to add - re the call part.
This would be possible if the webclient app becomes a Chrome extension.

And this is something that we are investigating!!

@Nick Galea @nb Thanks for your replay

I will check registry or reinstall 3CX client to solve "Phone Not found" issue.

That would be great that customers stay on CRM page, but In our tests we are seeing that everytime we click on tel:// URI, it is taking us away from CRM or web page and open a new Tab with this URL https://URL:5001/webclient/#/call?phone=XXXXXXXX. In this new Tab users need to press "Call" again to start calling.

I totally agree, even our smallest customer's would like their logo on the phone screen. We could never persuade them to subscribe to Enterprise, and this should be a Pro feature.

Will do, but i am testing this from my own free version of 3cx, as i always deploy stuff to my own free personal one before i deploy it to our production work Pro 3cx version. Is this an issue for support purposes?
