Good day, after the plugin 8.1.6 the admin side when plugin activated refreshes the screen constantly until the plugin is deactivated. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it, same issue occurs when installed. When browsing from Frontend the same behaviour occurs on internal links within products to another product (links keeps refreshing). I also tried v 8.1.7 just a few minutes ago and same behavior, I posted a video of this when activated at https://www.vapeowave.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/2020.02.05-17.56.mp4

What's your WordPress version?

Hi there,

We'll try installing some of the plugins you're showing in the videos above, perhaps there's a conflict with one or more.

If you are able, could you try temporarily disabling a couple of possibly conflicting plugins? Specifically, Autooptimize, Broken Link Checker, W3 Total Cache.

Autoptimize, I've seen some issues with many plugins and I had to choose another minifier plugin. W3 Total Cache is also prone to cause issues just because it's a cache.

If you have other optimization plugins, try disabling those as well then re-enable one by one until the issue arises.

Any Ideas where to start ? I disabled almost all plugins except WooCommerce and same issue occurs on both websites

Hi @JohanThiart ,

To properly troubleshoot you'll need to disable all plugins. I understand that this can be difficult in a live environment so you'd better do that on a staging server. There could be a number of things causing this behaviour. Disabling the plugins is a good start. Switching to another theme just to check will also help.

Before you do that, can you please check your browser's console to see if there's any JS error? jQuery incompatibility is very common.

See my post above, disabled EVERYTHING except WooCommerce Plugin (The store add-on) so had a single plugin running. Odd thing is Chat used to work for 3 months on the 2nd domain, 1st domain is designed same as first domain except for theme and products but now after 3 months without any plugin add-ons it does not work

I saw your post, that's why I suggested that you disabled ALL plugins :)

You didn't answer my question regarding any errors coming up in the browser console. That could shed light on what's broken.

p.s: in the last 3 months you must have updated the plugins multiple times (and maybe the theme). So the setup after 3 months is basically not the same as before as plugins make changes and changes may break things.

After I Disabled All Plugins issue still remained. Then I purged server cache and bypassed Cloudfare and issue was gone. I then re-enabled all plugins and issue started occuring again. It takes a while and when activating one by one it seems it is pointing to either AutoOptimize or W3 Total Cache. I enabled W3C Total Cache for now to check which of the 2 if causing this (Auto Optimize Disabled, above in thread it still gave error due to server cache not cleared when both was disabled) and will test until tomorrow to see if still stable. If AutoOptimize is causing the problem which .js or .css should be excluded from Minifying or optimizing used by Live Chat ? If W3 Total Cache is causing the issue should any pages or browser caching be disabled for certain folders or components or a certain function for caching be disabled ?

Exclude the following and try again:
Code:
/wp-content/plugins/wp-live-chat-support/js/*
/wp-content/plugins/wp-live-chat-support/includes/*
/wp-content/plugins/wp-live-chat-support/css/*
Make sure you clear all caches server side and in CF after that.

Thanks got it sorted for now. Was an issue on caching the Live Chat plugin (It did cache and minify fine previous 3 months) between W3 Caching / Cloudfare

Glad you got it sorted.
