Update 8 - Downloading it!

Just got bit by Update 8. We have update 7 and our license was ready to renew today and since you need update 8 to do that, it has now expired and for some decision on 3CX's part, isn't allowed to download the update. We're paying customers of the software, downloads should always be there, esp for critical activation services. Anyone got another method to get that on our server without a re-do? Thanks!

it states "If your license key is due to expire shortly, you must install update 8 in order to access the license page where you can renew and refresh your subscription. Unfortunately, if you did not renew your subscription prior to its expiration date and you are not on U8 your only option is to contact our Customer Service team who will guide you on next steps to proceed with your renewal."

I would contact customer service and see if they can help you

Thanks, I've got our support to contact your support, will see what happens. Does make you wonder though why these types of update aren't just a on an open download link, without having to download the whole v18 from scratch, which is on an open link anyhow. Seems pointless having them behind a locked door.

You can probably connect via SSH and run "apt update" and then "apt upgrade 3cxpbx"

It should bring it to the latest in the repos, as long as you're on a supported Debian install (via ISO or marketplace.)

Definitely not the recommended way but can certainly help in these situations.
