Hi,

i've a installation of 3cx v15.5 with 50Gb of recording call, make backup and uninstall v15 and install v16 require more time to create a backup and next restore on install v16, can i manual move temporarily a folder recording out of 3cx v15 folder installation then backup information and install v16 and next move recording on v16 folder? This procedure restore call recording or create problem ?
Thanks for reply.

are your recordings already on a seperate drive on the host or in the default location?

On default location

Here's what Yiannis told me about moving call recordings. This is Windows to Linux but i imagine the process to be the same.

  • Take a backup of V15.5 windows without recordings
  • Backup call recordings to external location
  • Remove v15 then install v16
  • Restore backup
  • Create your recordings folder and move your recordings back to default location
  • (in 3CX) Then navigate to settings parameters and add the following parameter "RECS_SYNC_REQUIRED" and set value to "1".
  • Then navigate to your Dashboard and click on the convert recordings button.
Correct me if im wrong Stefan.

Do the instructions above work, as I have the same issue - large amounts on recordings on a 3cx windows server

I just completed a migration to v16 following my instructions above.

Currently converting the 100GB of recordings.

use unstoppable copier to move the files.

aaaand i'm all converted no problems.
