Update Prompt

Hi there,

Does somebody knows what credentials are required when a phone asks for "Update Prompt"

We have several Fanvil X6's which are in STUN mode. When in try to update them from within the console the phone gets a reboot and asks for credentials before updating.
I already tried the credentials "admin+web page password" and the "Authentication" versions but non of them is working.

In the end the update gets blocked.. Maybe there is a way to turn of "Update Prompt"?

Alright so after some more digging i fount the answer:

The phone will prompt for username and password: Enter the extension number as username, press arrow “down” and enter the voicemail pin as the password.

But is there a way to turn this off?. The phone just needs to update and don't ask for username & password.

Thats odd.

that definately doesnt happen with the X4Gs im using in STUN.

STUN phones that have been reset will pick up your provisisioning URL automatically via the RPS feature.

They will ask for your extension number and voicemail PIN so they can authenticate on 3CX and download their provisioning configuration.

I'm guessing your phones have been reset prior to this.
