We have a phone which has been bought and has a brand new firmware on it which we are having problems with.

We want to downgrade the firmware to the latest supported firmware in 3CX - but as the phone has a newer firmware, the option to "upgrade firmware" is disabled.

Can we have an option to "downgrade firmware"

For one phone? Flash it manually. The 3CX guys have more important things to work on. I know firmware management could be improved a bit, just not worth it. Work more needed on smooth upgrading. Besides, for our phones 3CX firmware is newer than the latest from manufacturer - and works better.

No - this wouldn't be for just one phone - were looking around 150 in total....

This is already possible through the Management Console.

If the "Upgrade Firmware" is grayed out, it means that either:
- The phone is provisioned for use over a SBC.
- You are using an old/custom template.

Anyhow, this is not something that needs implementing as it is already there, we are talking about an issue so I will move the topic back to "3CX Phone System - General" for further discussion.

Now in order to get some help provide the following information:
- Make/model of the phone.
- Firmware the phone was running on.
- Firmware you were trying to downgrade to.
- Provisioning method, local, remote stun, remote sbc?
