upgrade from 15.5 to 16

We are getting ready to upgrade from 15.5 to 16. I am not the one who did the last upgrade so I am not sure exactly what version we are at other than 15.5.15502. I do not know if this included the SP 6 upgrade. Is there any way to tell if the sp 6 upgrade has been performed. Is it necessary or is there a benefit to doing the sp 6 upgrade to go to version 16?

This is on a windows server and when I check for updates it says I am up to date.

Thanks, kieferschild, I've seen that document. However, what I'm asking is do you "have to" upgrade to 15.5 sp6 before going to V16? I'm getting some push back on installing sp6. my co-workers are just wanting to jump straight to V16.3. I'm thinking it would be better to upgrade to sp6 first, just in case there is a little something in there that will affect what is in the backup we will create before uninstalling 15.5. Is the sp6 time consuming? I'm guessing it is pretty quick.

v15.5.15502.6 is SP6.

Backup your 3CX, move the backup to a different location, uninstall v15 and then reinstall v16 and restore.

Restore during reinstall take care when asked not to skip this step otherwise you need to restart from scratch once again

Thanks all. What I'm gathering from this is that the upgrade to 15.5 sp6 is not essential. just back up, uninstall, install 16 being sure to restore/reinstall from my backup. many thanks.
