I just inherited a client that has v15.5.15502 in the config screen. When I try to run the update to 15 update 6 it errors out and says it is version 15.5.20000.6 and that it can not upgrade from a version lower than 15.0 SP0 or from a Beta. Is this a beta version? I know I need to backup restore to get to v16 but if this is a beta I am afraid the v16 install will not import the backup. Then I am hosed! How do I upgrade?

Hello @EdisonInfo,

As @cobaltit correctly said, you may very well be required to uninstall and reinstall while keeping our Hardware Requirements and deployment guides in mind. Alternatively, please bear in mind that you may be able to upgrade to version 16 depending on the current configuration.

Please let us know of the following:

1. What exact version can you see in the Management Console >> Dashboard >> Information >> License section. (15.5.15502.6 or 15.5.20000.6)
2. What OS is 3CX currently hosted on? (Debian 9/Stretch, Windows Server 2016, etc)
3. Can you see any updates available in the 3CX PBX's update section(upper-right corner)?

The versions are in the initial post and this is on a Windows 10 Pro box

Could you please give us a screenshot of the output window of the tool you are running?

Not sure what you are asking. I am not using any "tool".

I did a backup of the existing pbx, spun up a v16 version under VMware and restored the backup. It seems to have worked so I think I am good to try it on the live system. I am guessing I may run into some certificate issues due to the upgraded security but hopefully they will be manageable.

@EdisonInfo
Could you please send me your license key in a PM so I can check it?

I just checked the key and you should be fine to update yes.

The update went fine as far as I can tell. Thank you for your help. I do have some issues but I will start a new thread.
