Solved Upgrade from V15.5 Windows version to V16

Do you have a Spare PC W10 , for test you can run same 3CX installer and see what happens.

No way... to get it success. if this the case why then i can install 15.5 and restore my back up as the steps and not for v16 .... what happen is that the wizard tools is not appeared and not started to complete the configuration...

I will install the v16 on another server to check if I get the same problem.

have you tried to DL another installer from 3CX DL folder ?

Yes all the same issue.
the file is correct I have got it from 3CX , size 191Mb.

For test i've done a new 3CX windows version installer DL and installed from scratch on W10 Pro PC it works perfectly, during first phase i was asked to install visual C++ and after had to grant webpbxtool to acces internet, i've got the next step where asking to restore or create a fresh new PBX.

So problem seems to be on your windows or rights not given or DL files are corrupted

yes I can do that only for the test and not for live test IOT

At this point the services will look like this:


You can try to launch the PbxConfigTool.exe manually as you see above.

Note that we recommend the Windows Server is only running 3CX and nothing else.

Are there other things running on your server currently?

Hi,

it was my stubbed .. the server was not 2012R2 but win2008, it old one. on this win server is the issue appear. but on 2012R2 is ok. so I upgrade the win server from win server 2008 to win server 2012R2 standard en it was easy to follow the steps. the server now running on 3CXv16.
