Hello,
I would like to test upgrading from v15.5 to v16 using our sandbox environment. The sandbox is a copy of production hardware that is on its own isolated internal network, but can have access to the internet. Given our current v15.5 uses the 3cx cert /license and FQDN, I'm not sure what needs done to stand up a test copy in our sandbox environment. Given the public IPs are different, I would think I could start the copy and allow it access to the internet, but I certainly don't want to risk crashing the production side if the cert / license service on the 3cx servers would complain and put our production side our of operation. My goal is once the sandbox environment is running, I can apply a test license. Anyone have any experience with this?

you can not have the two systems running the same license key, 3cx fqdn at the same time

backup your current system without license key and fqdn.

using a test license, new 3cx fqdn / ssl certificate install 3CX into your test environment using the backup of your live system.

The test system will require access to the internet to license the software and generate fqdn , ssl

Makes perfect sense. Thank you.
