Intel NUC + Debian, upgraded V18 to V20 this morning. I have two extensions outside the LAN that were working fine before the upgrade. All of the LAN phones are fine.
I can see the properties of each phone, so it's not like they got deleted in the process. Is there a new setting that prevents phones from connecting outside the LAN?
Both are Fanvil X4 phones.

With version 20, stun provisioning for remote phones is no longer an option. Even with version 18, the option for stun was not supported from our side, even though the option was available.

To provision phones remotely requires using a 3CX SBC or Router phone.

I found a setting to allow direct SIP calling, should that be allowed?
Also, these phones were provisioned in the LAN, and there used to be a setting to allow a phone to be used outside the LAN, will that work?

X4U-v2 can be set up as a router phone (so it's its own SBC).

My phones are the original X4's, so probably won't work. Thanks.

Make sure this isn't enabled

Thanks! I needed the phones to work so regressed back to V18, all is good. Will keep this in mind when ready to upgrade to V20.

The problem is that we are forced to upgrade to V20 shortly, and the suggested fix of unchecking "Block remote non-tunnel connections" doesn't fix the problem

An additional note the EOL phones like the x4 have issues with stun resolver which means they will not connect via stun to v20, newer phones have a fix via firmware update but this fix has not been released from Fanvil for older EOL models.

The use of a 3CX SBC or router phone in these cases is the only option.
