Upgrading Fanvil x4 to 2.8.0.6251

Hi,

Running into major problems updating my Fanvil x4 phones to the new 2.8.0.6251 Firmware. I run a Google Cloud bases up to date 3CX server.

1. Upgrading in the console. Phone upgrade hangs at 86-88% (might have seen a login and/or upgrade failed error flashing by).

2. Manual upgrade by downloading the file from 3cx site after doing a phone reset. All goes well except that the phones do not auto provision (view button never appears).

3. Manual provisioning, copying the provisioning URL to the appropriate place in the phone admin console. Phone online, provisions and then start downloading the upgrade it already has. Upgrade keeps failing.

4. Downgrading to older firmware does not help either, as phone also start upgrading (and failing) to the new firmware.

Factory reset of phone and then re-provision?

Tried factory reset op 57 times. Now one of my phones will not get out of post mode again.

I had that with a Fanvil X2 following the update this morning but it was fine after a power cycle.

finally got my systems back up.

5. Remove phones from 3CX interface

6. Download and flash latest Fanvil x4 firmware (not 3CX) (after many factory resets)

7. Manual provision with the link provided by 3CX.

FYI, got a Fanvil X6 that upgraded with the 3CX interface in about 2 minutes. Bug in 3CX firmware for X4's is my best bet.

Glad you're sorted.

Our call centre staff are kicking and screaming because their X2's now ring loudly through their headset instead of the phone.

I have a similar problem but with the Fanvil X3S, it shows on the management console that there is a new firmware i need to upgrade but when i click upgrade nothing happens it is failing. See the print screen of the firmware im upgrading from and to. Im upgrading from firmware 2.6.0.58.50 to the available 2.8.0.6251.
