I don't normally post this kind of thread, but I wanted to commend 3cx for creating a process of upgrading a self hosted 3cx system on RPi to a HP mini-pic architecture using Debian. I was expecting a long laborious process, but rather it was almost flawless. What I thought would take days only took a couple of hours.
My use case is for a home office, with 6 or so VOIP phones scattered throughout the house plus access for android phones out and about.
Basically, I used the latest system backup .zip file as the system restore upload during the mini-pc build process. EVERYTHING built up exactly like the RPi setup, flawlessly.
The only thing I ran into was that the new mini-pc system was up and running, but with a different LAN IP address from the RPi. I cant seem to find clear instructions on how to change the LAN IP address so I had to manually go in to the phones and set the SIP Addresses back to the original IP address and change the IP address of the new mini-pc to the IP address of the RPi. (This was necessary because my PfSense router had all the rules in place to provide connection with my 3cx android apps).
I probably should have taken the RPi offline and manually changed the IP address of the mini-pc before finishing the build, but I eventually got it all back in line.
Hat tip to the 3cx team for providing the tools for an easy migration!
