Upgrading from V15.5 to 16

Hello
I just realized that my current 3CX version is still 15.5 and it has never been auto updated to v16.

When I click on Update, it says

"Your system is up to date. Last checked: Today, 13:22"


Why it says so ?

If windows operating system, just make sure you have a supported version - https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/ .

Changes are coming in with IOS and https/2 will only work on these versions - https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/apple-push-update-windows/

System will never auto update to v16 if you are running on a microsoft operating system

And do you have active maintenance? (which is step 1 in the first link anyhow)

You have to back up your system, download v16, uninstall, install, then restore.

I ran into the same issue when v16 came out, and we were still on 15.5. I asked our support person, and they said i would need to backup the system, uninstall, and install the latest version, then do a restore.

Just make sure when you do a backup, back it up to a location outside the 3cx directory.
