Hi,

will all v18 be auto upgraded to v20 auto? or do we have do this manually? if so what is the last date we need to upgrade?

thank you

Major versions on Windows can't happen (always requires uninstall/reinstall)
Major versions on Linux have never auto-upgraded between version, although they can without uninstall/reinstall. It's 1 click to do so, then wait about 10-15 minutes.

Last day to do so? Not published, but likely 6ish months after v20 update 2 would be my total guess.

Just got an email that we need to update by July. I thought it would be an option under "update" on the control panel as that's what the instructions seemed to say, but there's no option.

I'm running self-hosted on a Windows box BTW.

You can't do anything on Windows yet - you need to wait until they publish the new Windows, then take a full backup (and store safely), uninstall, and reinstall (restoring backup during reinstall).

Reminder: the free pbx is linux only from v20 on.

Maybe, maybe not. Nick mentioned charging extra for Windows in a forum post, but it's not a fleshed out thing yet.

We now have more information:
  • Currently V20 is available on Linux only: A Windows installer will come at a later stage and will require an enterprise edition. We’ll upgrade any PRO editions running Windows to Enterprise for the duration of the subscription. More information to follow.
We still don't know about free edition though
