Hi everybody,

I have a setup on a Linux box self-hosted with a Professional Perpetual v16.0.8.16 licence key. Before upgrading to v18, I would like to apply an NFR Enterprise v16 key as an upgrade to the current Pro key.
I am unable to do it through the Management Console and each time it is throwing the following error:
A networking problem has occurred while activating your license key. (Error code: 401).

Checks have been made as far as network interfaces are concerned and no issues found.
ping activate.3cx.com does reply correctly as well.

I have been looking around and digging in the old threads and came across this one below which is closer but not the same server version:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/updating-license-key.67517/

I am afraid if I have to install the new v18 appliance and the NFR v16 Enterprise key being rejected.
Is there any way to apply the NFR key without proceeding with a new v18 installation (full backup minus key, release fqdn prior new install) ?

Any help and suggestions are welcomed. Thank you very much.

Thank you for the clarification. I will hence proceed in the backup-FQDNreleased-v18setup-NFR key-restoredBackup way.
There was a typo error. It should have been read ping activate.3cx.com.
