To improve our cloud services, the FQDN endpoint used to activate 3CX products will change to activate.3cx.com. The current activation endpoint will be terminated by 1st February 2022 at the latest. We urge customers to upgrade to v18 as soon as possible, to ensure long term support, compatibility and security.
When is the change due?
This change will come into effect with the release of V18 Update 2 Beta, expected shortly. Version 16 customers will be provided with a patch for V16 Update 8, however this will be a short-term fix. Both updates extend the activation compatibility until November 2022.
To Note: Customers still on v15.5 will no longer be able to activate post-March 2022
Need for action
Review your network access rules and ensure that you allow connectivity to activate.3cx.com. Due to the nature of our service clusters, we cannot provide a fixed IP list. Ensure that you update to V18 Update 2 by the 1st February 2022. Alternatively ensure that version 16 Update 8a is installed once it's available (valid only until November 2022)
