User always connected when mobile app installed ?

Once the android app is installed, even if there is no internet connexion available or we force a shutdown of the app (or use the "quit - ignore push" option), the status still stays "available" (if that the chosen one. It can be DND or any other, but it shows the user as connected). If the user has only the web or windows client, once they are off, the user is unavailable. Is that the normal behavior ? When a mobile device registers to the PBX it also registers to the Push service so it can receive calls via Push notifications when the app is not open or registered. This keeps the extension appearing as registered so that the PBX can send the calls to the Push service. So this behaviour is normal.
You can set the extension to a different status when you do not want to receive calls or simply ignore push notifications by selecting the Exit-Ignore Push option.

I'm using an iphone with current OS and current 3CX app. I don't see any option for 'Exit-ignore push' anywhere on the app UI, or the iphone settings under the 3CX app tab. Where is this feature?

This is not available on iOS as we are limited by the OS. You will need to deselect the account to achieve the same result on iOS.
