Hello,

End users create their own BLF settings but if we make a change to a template and reprovision those changes are lost.

Is there a way for end users to keep their customer BLF after a reprovision of a phone? Specifically this happens on Yealink t4x phones.

Thanks,
Scott

How are end users creating blf keys ? What type of blf keys ?

if you are using standard 3cx templates, and users are using the 3cx app or webclient to configure blf keys these will update the blf keys setting within 3cx and finally pushed out to the phone within 24 hours

Users create their custom keys by pressing and holding the BLF key on the yealink phone itself and then assigning it a function.

We are using custom template to set some settings not able to be set via 3cx management console.

BLFs can be managed by the end user in the webclient. Why not have them do that?

Hi @pausco2007

Since the 3CX system is designed to allow users and admins to manage their extension, we include BLF provisioning in the daily reprovision cycle.

This means that anything the PBX is not aware of, will likely revert to whatever the template sends to the phone. Set your BLFs in the management console, or allow the users to set them using the Webclient and the system will retain those settings for you no matter how many times a device gets reprovisioned.

Sidenote: Some models also require using a BLF as a line key, and if that is changed/removed it breaks the phone functionality

That is exactly what i was looking for, didn't even think to instruct users to use the webclient for those settings!

Thank you so much!
