Hi,
As many others have posted about, the new (un-customisable) roles often either provide too much access or not enough. In my specific case, one of our clients wants basic users to be able to pick up other users' calls in the same department only, without all the other additional rights afforded by the 'Receptionist' role. Essentially I need the 'User' role but with the ability to see and pick up other people's calls, on a per-department basis.
Bizarrely, basic users can pick up everyone else's calls, across the entire organisation, if the "Limit call pickup to calls received within the same department" is unchecked. As soon as you check that option, suddenly they need to have the appropriate rights. Seems a bit upside down to me.
At any rate, Is there a 3CX roadmap detailing what features (i.e. role customisation) are to be added, or at least which are being considered? Again, I've had a client ask this specific question - and I suspect he won't be the last.
Failing that, please give us more granular control over roles and/or the ability to create custom roles that sit in between the existing ones.
Many thanks,
Sheikh Mabouteh
