User Status on Phone

Hoping this is my ignorance, I've searched and not come up with the answer although I'm sure it's been asked.

If I setup a couple change status buttons so users can change from available to away and back is there a way to display the user's current status on the phone? I'm using a Fanvil x5s phone right now and don't see a way to do this.

Also is there a way to setup a single button that toggles away/available without having to use separate buttons?

No, there is no way to display it currently. Statuses as shown in 3CX clients, but they do not appear on phones.

I'm afraid not, each status has its own unique dial code, there isn't a 3rd dial code that jump between two specific statuses.


Alternative Solution

You can however use the DND button on the phone. This is programmed to switch between Available and DND as a toggle.

So your options are:

a) Use DND and Available statuses to set your forwards as needed, and you don't need to provision any status BLFs because you can use the phone DND button

or

b) Provision only a single BLF for "Away", and when the user returns they should simply press the DND button twice, which will cycle their status like so: Away -> DND -> Available

Since there is a visual DND indicator on the X5S, there is no chance they would end up in the wrong status by toggling it.

To get a toggle button, you can use a CFD.
