Hi,

I have setup (Twice) Startup with 3CX, linked to AATROX SIP, easily deployed to my phone apps but I have a Fanvil V64 that is not playing ball. I have tried Ethernet and Wifi. UniFi networking. Setting up as a router phone as no SBC.

EIther nothing happens, or I get the Username/Password request loop where nothing seems to actually make a difference and I either get a second request or nothing.

I’ve reset the phone. Tried the two MAC addresses between Ethernet and WiFi, tried extension/pin, admin/admin, admin/console password, auth id/password. Factory resets.

Firmware was upgraded to the latest, didn’t work. Then downgraded to the one listed in the article. Nothing.

Also, the link for the phone within the setup leads to the wrong phone. YouTube is no help and the forum lists similar issues blaming MAC address (it isn’t) among other things. I can’t figure this out.

Is the 3CX provisioning currently having issues? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help in advance.

I've never used a Fanvil V64 but there are a couple of things that you could check/try:
  1. If possible, turn off the SSL/TLS certificate checking (this was a problem on some old phones), and
  2. Make sure the phone is set to only use IPv4 (unless your network is IPv6 based).
Neither of these are guaranteed to fix the problem, but they are worth trying.

Already set to IPv4. I can’t seem to see where The SSL/TLS cert checking would apply. I did fresh installs of firrmware, following set instructions. No mention of disabling it either. No luck so far :(

Thanks

Hi Denis,

Firstly, connect the phone to Ethernet - WiFi is not supported so do not involve it.

Then, perform a factory reset by holding down the middle circle button on the phone until it gives you the Factory reset option. This step is crucial, it won't work unless this is done to clear the phone memory.

The phone will reset, contact the provisioning server, and (after about 1 minute max) it will pull the provisioning settings and reboot automatically. You will not have to enter any user/pass.

This requires that you install the firmware listed here before you try provisioning:
https://www.3cx.com/support/phone-firmwares/

If you tried to provision it earlier without first installing the correct firmware, the device will get blacklisted and provisioning will now be failing no matter what you do. Was this perhaps the case during one of your attempts?

Most likely.

So is my device now blacklisted? I have tried many firmwares by this point So most likely. No notification of this. No way to remove it. Are you suggesting I have a useless phone now?

Also, logins get blacklisted pretty quickly and then stop me login in even.

So if blacklisted, what do I do?

I will send you a private message shortly so we can check together

Sorted thanks to John. Combination of IP block, ensuring only the 3CX firmware is used regardless of version, and order of setup.
