Using 3CX while abroad to call mobile phones in home country

If I was to take my phone or laptop abroad, log in to the 3CX app, and dial a mobile phone number back home, would that just work or would it count as an international call and have to be set up somehow?

If you call through 3CX, it will follow the PBX trunks and outbound rules and thus should be treated as the same as if it was dialed from inside your country. The connection between you and the PBX is over internet, so it doesn't matter where you are.
