Using Windows App to initiate calls on ip phone

I am using a 3cx hosted instance and SBC for hard phones in the office. Is there a way to start a call using the windows or browser app, but pick it up on the ip phone? We just installed a phone at our front desk, who got rid of the headset, but now cant make calls this way. Its easier to copy and paste a number into the app than manual entry.

This might be because its a conference phone?

The fanvil handset worked that way. Is the agent able to transfer and answer calls this way too?

Very likely, this is only supported for 3CX Supported IP Phones that Support CSTA/CTI. If CSTA or CTI is not supported it should be mentioned under the "Limitations" section of the IP Pones provisioning guide: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/
