Hi,

3cx can recieve fax via email very nicely. We rout some of those emails directly to printers, but most stay emails. This works great.

Now we are choosing a service to send fax.
I know, that windows server 2008 could do the job, but all the support docs are many years old and it looks like Microsoft isn't committed to this service at all. We need email to fax as well as printer driver and maybe a smartphone app (shoot a photo to fax) would be nice.

What are you using? Anybody using Microsoft Server? The more current Windows server releases support this?

We think about using efax or fax.de. Fax.de offers the convenience to manage users and payments centrally, which is key for us.

In general people only send a fax like once every few days, so we need an easy to understand service. We think about using one account for one department, to make management and payments easier. But getting fax-send reports regarding privacy might be an issue.

Best regards Frank
