Thank you for the feedback. We will try to replicate it on a Huawei device to see what is causing this.

We were not able to replicate the issue however we just released a new version of the 3CX client for Android. Can you test if that solves your issue?

I did receive a New Update (v16.0.0.35).
Didn't fix the Issue tho. :/
@YiannisH_3CX

So even with the latest version, when you have option "Car/Bluetooth support" disabled, you can call with a problem?
The problem only happens with the option enabled?

@NickD_3CX Calls work without Problems as long as "Car/Bluetooth Support" is Disabled
If the Feature is Active then I get the Same error as stated above.

Thanks for the information! We will look into this and try to implement a fix in the Beta.

We are aware of this..
Unfortunately we set HUAWEI Phones to enable it by default - In our tests, huawei worked perfectly with the option enabled.
It is clear that it was too soon to enable it.
Please switch it off for now. Some phones can behave very badly if this option is on. Others can really transform to a fully working app.
This option forces the phone to use Android-Telecom API - the newest api available from android 8 and up. One thing is for sure. Different phones work completely differently. Some phones are not supporting fully this api.

I encourage you to opt in to our beta program. https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/uc-android-client-beta/
We are going to have an update this week.

@SnowBlinderP
Could you please specify how you are trying to initiate the call.

Do you select a contact from the phone's native contact page, select a contact from the 3cx contacts or just dial the number in 3cx app dial screen?
Also after number is ready to be called do you press the "Call" button or use the headset buttons?

@apostolis_3CX
Cant Select 3CX from Phone Native Contacts (Isnt Registered as Phone App).
Also Tried using the 3CX Contacts and Just dialing the Number. (
Every Time - Same Result - (Using the "Call" Button) -> "3cx.call - Invalid Number".
Dont have a "Start Call" Button on Headset / Car

this will be fixed in the next update.

Hi, just letting you know I have the same issue, I have a Huawei P30 Pro and this exact issue drove me insane. Fortunately I saw the fix which is to unselect the Bluetooth Optimisation on 3CX and is now working fine. Can you see if you can find a fix for this in the near future, we are a 3CX reseller by the way.,

Hi,
Yes it works without the Optimisation - But thats the Point - I wanted to use it with Optimisation (When in Car for Example) :rolleyes:
Lets wait for the Next Updates and Hope that it gets fixed
