We upgraded from pbx 15.5 to v16 update 4. Our existing users v15.5 clients "updated" to the v16 client once the pbx upgrade was done. Ever since then we started seeing users who are set to q manager that can see all active calls, when they right click on a call to get options to transfer, barge, etc the right click action doesn't show right away and can take 20 seconds before it responds.

My first remediation to this was to go to APPDATA and delete the log files in CallTriggerCmd and the 3CXPhone for Windows folders. I then rebooted the machines and users reported that it started working properly again. But after about a week of use they all start reporting it again.

Just wondering if anyone else has heard or reported slowness in the presence screen in respect to right clicking for options. The machines are windows 10 1903 or higher fully patched and pbx and client software is fully up to date. Yealink T46s CTI phones.

Hello @vhi IT

Can you confirm if this also happens when you use the webclient for barge in?

Let's see if the issue is isolated only to the windows client

We have not used the web client in any form before. Is the windows client something that is getting depricated?

The webclient is where we will mainly focus our attention going forward, so the Windows client may become deprecated at some point in the future. New features are constantly being added to the webclient and there is also a Chrome plugin now that allows it to run the webclient even if chrome is closed so you never miss any calls. This also includes click2call for customers that need this functionality so they can dial from CRM. It is currently compatible with Chrome and the Chromium-Edge browsers https://www.3cx.com/user-manual/web-client/

I suggested this specific test so we can see if we can isolate the issue a bit better and decide which direction to investigate. The webclient can be used as a tool to double check what is going on in this case.

To launch it in your Chrome browser, simply log on to your management console and send yourself a Welcome Email. It will contain the link to the webclient as well as your access codes.
